An executive leader of the Uganda Boy Scouts Association was on Thursday August 28, 2025 produced before Makindye Magistrate’s Court and added to seven people charged earlier in connection to violent occupation of the National Camping and Scouts Centre at Kaazi-Busaabala, Masajja Division in Makindye Ssabagabo Municipality.
There have been running ownership battles of this site between the scouts association and another group of people, each claiming to be the rightful owner.

The seven scouts leaders arrested and charged earlier include Barugahare Mujuni Patrick, Butumbwire Stephen, Mugisha John, Musoke Stephen Brian, Mununuzi Alex, Orwanga Michael Richard and Anyango Francis.
They were yesterday joined by Muledhu David, the National Executive Secretary of the Uganda Boy Scouts Association who was arraigned in court and charged accordingly.
Muledhu faces charges of unlawful occupation of land belonging to another, malicious damage to property, conspiracy to commit a felony, forcible detainer, and forcible entry.
The group is accused of violently taking over the National Camping and Scouts Centre at Kaazi–Busaabala, Masajja Division, Makindye Ssabagabo Municipality on 24th June 2025, disrupting operations of the Uganda Scouts Association and causing extensive damage to property.
Muledhu has been remanded until 1st September 2025.
