The Special Forces Command (SFC) have arrested 14 people for blocking President Museveni’s motorcade and plucking off the National Emblem from his vehicle.
This incident according to the security sources happened in Kansanga as President Museveni headed to Entebbe State House.
The group allegedly had hidden themselves at Rubis petrol station located in Kansanga, and others had disguised as pedestrians. The 14 have since been arrested by SFC and are currently detained at various police stations.
In a report to Kabalagala Police under the Traffic Reference number, TSD 16/10/02/2025, the President’s motorcade was rammed into by 15 people at around 11:30am.
“They were arrested and taken to Kabalagala police station and have today been arraigned in court.”
The suspects include; Nabukyu Janet, Lumu Shafiq, Kalema Joshua, Nsubuga Sharif, Kayanja Tom, Mawejje John, Katumba Jimmy, Holiday Robben, Namugerwa Nanfuka Annet, Mukisa Jennifer, Kato Kimbugwe, Nakabugo Elidada, Nassolo Gladys and Kamala William.
The suspects have been slapped with charges of careless pedestrian vide under traffic and road safety Regulations 2004. “Mutebi Sharif who removed the National Emblem from H.E the President of the Republic of Uganda’s car has been charged with malicious damage vide CRB 170/2025 and will later be produced in court for that charge.”
