PC Katungi has been further remanded until April 25, 2025. Katungi, an officer with the Environmental Protection Police Unit under the Ministry of Water and Environment, allegedly seized land from an individual near a wetland while threatening to evict him.
The complainant, identified as Mutebi, initially surrendered a portion of his land measuring 30 by 30 feet to Katungi, who arranged for the transfer in the name of his driver. However, no payment was made to Mutebi for the land.
