Weasel Pardons Sandra Teta for Fracturing His Leg, Askes for Her Release

It all began when Teta stormed Shanz Bar in Munyonyo where her husband (Weasel) was having a merry night with colleagues, and she demanded that they return home.

Sandra Tete, a wife to Ugandan music icon Douglas Mayanja a.k.a Weasel was on Thursday August 7, 2025 arrested and detained at Kabalagala Police Station for knocking him down with a car and causing a compound fracture in his right leg.

However, basing from his Nsambya hospital bed, Weasel asked police to release her, an order which police effected by giving Sandra Teta a police bond.

However, the Assistant police spokesperson for Kampala Metropolitan Police, Luke Owoyesigyire said that although she was released on police bond, they are in consultations with the DPP to ascertain whether she was innocent or has a case to answer.

It all began when Teta stormed Shanz Bar in Munyonyo where her husband (Weasel) was having a merry night with colleagues, and she demanded that they return home. Weasel is said to have turned down the advice saying it was still too early to go home.

She insisted but her efforts did not produce any results as Weasel kept waving her to go away.

She angrily entered her car a Mercedes Benz registration number UBH 178Y, picked children playing toy, went out and with it and hit him. When this did not change Weasel’s mind, she entered her car and drove away.

As she sped off, Weasel stood in front of the car and in a joking manner attempted to force her to stop which she did not do but drove and, knocking him down and in the process breaking his right leg.

He fell down wailing in excruciating pain and his colleagues took her to Mukwaya Health clinic in Kabalagala where they subjected him to a scan.

Results showed a broken right leg bone, and he was referred to St. Francis Hospital Nsambya where he was hospitalize pending an operation. Meanwhile. Police picked Teta and jailed her while her car was also impounded.

According to neighbours and friends, the two are known to often be engaged in physical fights. After granting Teta a police bond, she went straight to Nsambya Hospital to check on Weasel.
