Jinja Tour Guides Association (JITOGA), the umbrella body for professional tour guides in Jinja and the neighborhood have supported this precautionary measure and call upon all tour operators, guides, and visitors to adhere to the temporary suspension until the site is officially cleared for safe reopening.

“We would like to reassure the public and the wider tourism fraternity that this suspension is a temporary and safety-driven intervention, not a closure of the destination. Busowoko Falls remains one of Jinja’s most treasured natural attractions, and we are confident that once all safety protocols and environmental compliance measures are fully instituted, the site will resume operations with improved standards and enhanced visitor protection,” JITOGA says in a statement.
