National Unity Platform (NUP) Presidential candidate Robert Kyagulanyi Sentamu ‘Bobi Wine’ has admitted that he is operating against all odds to fulfil his national presidential campaign rounds, prompting his team to set up substandard podiums not adequate for transmitting his messages to voters.
He pinpointed Constitutional Affairs Minister Nobert Mao for overtly masterminding acts intended to choke the NUP, and cited amendments in the Inter-Party Organization for Dialogue (IPOD) legislation, with the sole purpose of setting up modalities for denying the party access to IPOD funds.
“But IPOD is not funded by volunteers and the new law gives right to members of the National Consultative Forum (where the NUP is a member) right to access this money, which to date we have not accessed”, Kyagulanyi told journalists at a press conference on Friday at Gold Star Hotel where he slept before proceeding to rallies in Busia.

Meanwhile, multitudes of his supporters jammed the entry to Gold Star Hotel singing songs praising him. They were carrying placards and his posters and blowing vuvuzelas.
Among the list of challenges encountered, he cited diversion of his travel routes by security agencies to far off roads and away from towns with high numbers of his supporters.
He promised to decisively handle the poverty situation haunting the people of Busia once he ascends to leadership.
