The end-of-year Music, Dance and Drama concert for St. Francis Namilyango Hillside Day and Boarding Primary School organized under the theme “Good Governance” was, in words and deeds, a true learning cocktail of the mind, as it touched almost all sectors of life, exposing the devils bedeviling the Pearl of Africa.

However, in the olden days, it was not all work and no leisure, as the Top Class, specially arranged as a sandwich of the main competition, made a presentation depicting leisure styles in the composition of iconic singer and composer the late Elshama Wamala in his “Twalyako Bye Twalya”, and Afrigo Band Racheal Magoola’s “Jim Wange”.

The toddlers, trained to perfection, showed the ideals of life with an abundance of usables like drugs in hospitals at zero cost, decent dress codes and dance styles, and true inter-personal intimacy free from deadly health afflictions.

On a dark note, however, St. Francis House in a contemporary dance, depicted corruption in an animated form, showing it as an ugly ogre strangling mankind and all forms of decency, humanity, selflessness and hope for prosperity.

The youngsters effectively threw the message at home indicating that fighting the evil is not a reserve for the adults alone, as it affects, in the long run, even the unborn.

In the final analysis, the Franciscans showed that true salvation from evil is turning human souls to Jesus Christ the saviour, and that with Him, not all hope is lost.

And housemates of Meridith made a desperate plea for authorities to consider standing by their word and making a pay rise for teachers adequately, instead of paying them by way of dismissal threats.
