The Police in Kitgum district has arrested Bob William Labeja, former Resident District Commissioner (RDC) of Moyo, Nebbi, and Nakapiripirit, over the death of his wife Jackie Abalo.
Labeja is accused of assaulting his 38-year-old wife following a domestic brawl, leading to her death on Tuesday.

Abalo fled to her home in Pader district, complaining of severe body pain, and was treated at Bregmah Medical Centre, where she passed away on Tuesday.
The couple reportedly had a history of domestic violence, with Labeja being the perpetrator. A case of murder has been reported, and Labeja is being held at Kitgum CPS.
Aswa River Region Police Spokesperson David Ongom Mudong confirmed Labeja’s arrest, stating investigations are ongoing. Police are urging disputing couples to seek dialogue and assistance within the law.
