The Buganda Kingdom is in mourning following the death of the head of the royal family, Ssabalangira Godfrey Kikulwe Musanje, who passed away on Tuesday morning at a Kamwokya medical facility.
The deputy Ssaabalangira, Frederick Kateregga, confirmed the sad news, saying Musanje had been battling a serious illness.
Musanje has been a key figure in the kingdom, known for promoting unity, sports development, and respect for Buganda values. Prince Henry Kayondo praised his legacy in uplifting youth socio-economic standards and health.

Musanje was a councillor in Mukono district council in the early 2000s representing Kasawo sub-county.
He is the father of the Mukono district Senior Procurement Officer, Batenga Prossy and Records Assistant, Gorreti Nassiwa.
