Police in Kampala have confirmed the killing of four juveniles following a violent attack at Ggaba Early Childhood Development Program school in Makindye Division.
According to Kampala Metropolitan police spokesperson Rachael Kawala, a male suspect entered the school premises and fatally stabbed the victims in what authorities have described as a brutal incident.
“We confirm a tragic incident at the Ggaba Early Childhood Development Program school in Makindye Division, Kampala City, where a male suspect brutally stabbed and killed four juveniles,” Kawala said in an official statement.
Law enforcement officers responded to the scene and swiftly apprehended the suspect. He is currently in custody as investigations continue.
Police have not yet established the motive behind the attack. Kawala noted that inquiries are ongoing and more information will be released as it becomes available.
The incident has shocked the local community, raising concerns about safety in educational institutions. Authorities have urged the public to remain calm as they work to determine the circumstances surrounding the killings.
