Police in Lyantonde District have arrested a 13-year-old boy accused of using TikTok to promote violence and sectarianism through offensive online content.
The suspect, identified as Twikirize Clever, also known as “Mad Hunter,” is a resident of Kooki D Cell in Lyantonde District.
According to Twaha Kasirye, the spokesperson for the Greater Masaka Police Region, the arrest followed intelligence-led investigations into videos allegedly posted by the suspect on his TikTok account.

“Police in Lyantonde have arrested Twikirize Clever, alias ‘Mad Hunter,’ on allegations of incitement to violence and promoting sectarianism through his TikTok account,” Kasirye said in a statement.
He added that security operatives swiftly tracked down the suspect and arrested him from his hideout in Kooki C Cell, Lyantonde District.
The suspect is currently being held in police custody as investigations continue.
Police have not yet disclosed the specific content of the videos or whether additional charges may be preferred against the suspect upon completion of investigations.
The arrest comes amid continued efforts by law enforcement agencies to curb the misuse of social media platforms to spread hate speech, incite violence, and promote messages that threaten public order and national cohesion.
