The locals said that the grader used in the destruction was hired from one of the sites at Lugazi Industrial Park and they warned that if security does not handle the matter with care, they are willing to follow up and do revenge to the owner of the grader whom they suspected to be one of the Chinese investors in the industrial park.
Residents of Kisaasi cell, Bulyanteete ward in Lugazi Central Division, Lugazi Municipality in Buikwe district are sitting on a time bomb with over twenty casual labourers at a concrete brick factory which was razed by an unknown person, are threatening to hit back to revenge for being rendered jobless.
It is suspected that Dr. David Kabasa, a neighbour to the brick factory belonging to one Ntanda Shaban sanctioned the operation in which Ntanda’s property including bricks, a factory house and machinery for making the bricks, all estimated to cost about sh600m, were destroyed using a motor grader.
Ntanda says, and is backed by residents, that he bought a piece of land measuring 60ft x 275ft at a cost of sh60m, and according to a sale agreement which he holds, he paid cash and immediately began using his plot. The plot borders with Dr. Kabasa who is alleged to be the landlord of the title which also covers the plot of land in question. However, Dr. Kabasa was not available to confirm or deny the claims and his mobile phone indicated he was not available.

The three said they were working on the instructions of Dr. David Kabasa whose phone had been switched off. The cell chairperson, Abubaker Makwasi condemned the act executed illegally without a court order.
Mukwasi appealed for immediate intervention of higher authorities to diffuse a possible bloodshed as employees of the destroyed factory are swearing revenge for being rendered jobless.

They are also condemning the RDC in charge of the area for not responding to calls to intervene for over 20 hours since the criminal act.
They said this is the second time they are getting such an attack and that on both occasions, the office of the RDC remained silent.
The angry residents blamed Dr. Kabasa for using an authoritative hand and they angrily appealed to concerned authorities to intervene immediately.
The sale agreement executed on February 7, 2022 indicated that Ntanda had bought the piece of land from Ssendawula, the parish chairperson and paid cash.
