The Commander of Defense Forces (CDF) of the Uganda People’s Defense Forces (UPDF) Gen. Muhoozi Kainerugaba has promoted four army officers from the rank of Brigadier General to Major General.
The promotion and confirmation news has been issued by the Defence Public Information Officer, Brigadier General Felix Kulaigye.
The lucky promoted officers include;
- Brigadier General Stephen Mugerwa to Acting Major General, Commander of 1st Infantry Division of the UPDF.
- Brigadier General Paul Muhanguzi to Acting Major General, Commander 2nd Infantry Division.
- Brigadier General Felix Busizori to Acting Major General, Commander of 4th Infantry Division.
- Brigadier General Keith Katungi to Acting Major General, Commander of the 5th Infantry Division.
“We congratulate the newly promoted general officers and wish them success in their assigned responsibilities,” said Kulaigye.
