Mother’s Death Leads to Clinic Closure Amid Negligence Probe
Police in Kireka have launched investigations into a fatal stabbing that claimed the life of a senior public servant in the early hours of Thursday morning.
The incident occurred at around 6:00 a.m. on March 26, 2026, in Kamuli A Zone, Kira Municipality, Wakiso District. The deceased, identified as Omaido Moses, a 44-year-old resident of the area, was found with a severe stab wound at his home. He was rushed for medical attention but later succumbed to his injuries.
Preliminary police findings suggest the attack stemmed from a domestic misunderstanding involving two individuals, Agadi Oliver and another suspect identified only as Aliya.

Police have since arrested Agadi Oliver, who is currently in custody and assisting with ongoing investigations. Authorities have intensified efforts to locate and apprehend the second suspect, who remains at large.
The body of the deceased has been transported to City Mortuary for a postmortem examination as part of the investigative process.
Omaido Moses was serving as the Principal Human Resource Officer at the Local Government Finance Commission at the time of his death. He was widely regarded as a dedicated public servant, having previously worked in Ngora District Local Government and Oyam District as a Human Resource Officer. He also served in similar roles at the Uganda National Bureau of Standards (UNBS) and the Uganda National Meteorological Authority.
Police say inquiries into the matter are ongoing.
