Ssenyonga mobilized supporters who stormed Mukono police in an attempt to secure understand the reasons behind the arrest of the registrar, something he did at night, at around 10:00pm.

In retaliation, police severely beat up the attacking team where Ssenyonga was rushed to Mukono Church of Uganda Hospital in coma, together with his brother, Lauben Ssenyonjo, the councillor representing the youth in Mukono district council.

The duo was later that night referred to Mengo Hospital where they are still hospitalized.

The results were withheld and referred to Kyaddondo, the NRM party secretariate for a final verdict.

Commenting on the NRM commissioners’ final decision, Mukono NRM chairperson, Haji Haruna Ssemakula said that the issue has now been concealed with no appeal options, reasoning that the final verdict came from the supreme offices of the party.

“The final ruling came from our bosses at the top and no matter the views of anybody, Dr. Daisy is the party’s flag bearer; I wish her well and more success even in the main elections next year”, Semakula said, wishing Mukono voters peaceful in-house elections for LC V chairman and councillors next Thursday.
