The President of Kenya, William Ruto has declared a retaliatory war on the Gen Z protestors who have turned into a national security threat.
In a communication shared on his X handle, Ruto categorized as terrorists the rioters who attack Kenyans, police officers, security installations and businesses and noted that they are to be considered as having declared war on Kenya.

“Those who attack Kenyans, police officers, security installations and businesses are terrorists. Such criminal acts are a declaration of war and we will not allow our country to be destroyed by retrogressive elements that are seeking shortcuts to rise to power. Enough is enough!” Ruto said.
The President was based in Dagoretti North, Nairobi, where he assessed construction progress at the 540 housing units’ projects at Kilimani Police Station.
