Contacted for comment, Mulyanyama expressed amazement at Tuff B’s allegations saying, “Since when did Tuff B become one of the elders in my family with the responsibility for naming children?”

Former NBS journalist and singer, Robert Sekidde a.k.a Tuff B has accused Makindye Division Mayor, Ali Kasirye Nganda Mulyanyama of presenting his brother’s education transcripts which he used to secure National Unity Platform (NUP) card for Makindye East constituency.
Tuff B says Mulyanyama is using his brothers’ name just because he (Mulyannyama) lacks the requisite education requirements to enable him run for a parliamentary seat.
After losing the NUP flag to Mulyanyama, Tuff B now says he has finalized arrangements to submit a petition to the party tribunal with supporting evidence to back his claims.
“In my petition, I have highlighted all the gaps in Mulyanyama’s education qualification and his NRM opponent is jubilating because he knows the loopholes to use in challenging him in courts of law,” Tuff B asserted.
“I am therefore not ready to let my party lose the position we are sure of winning just because of selecting a wrong candidate,” Tuff B said during the Radio CBS 89.2FM morning show presented by Dr. Kwefulukuta and Titie Tendo Tabel.
Top among issues Tuff B promised to tackle on getting into office is rampant youth unemployment in the constituency.
Contacted for comment, Mulyanyama expressed amazement at Tuff B’s allegations saying, “Since when did Tuff B become one of the elders in my family with the responsibility for naming children?”
He said: “My father, Ali Kasirye, named me after himself but later, I was again named Mulyanyama, my grandfather’s name. I have since my childhood moved in this identity in schools I attended, and my passport all bears the same names,” he said.
He however assured his electorate that his education background is not questionable, having been a leader for decades and always using the same academic documents.
“I am however not shaken by Tuff B’s allegations since he has just lost the card. However, if he is certain about his claims, let him go to court and challenge me,” he said.
The incumbent, Derrick Nyeko after losing the card to Mulyanyama conceded the defeat trough his communication he posted on his official X handle.
