National Unity Platform (NUP) election grievances tribunal has released the final party flag bearers for Buganda Region.
Among the notable decisions made, is the dropping of the incumbent for Mukono district woman MP seat, Hanifa Nabukeera Luswata and handing the flag to the new entrant to the party, Sheilah Draville Amaniyo.

Amaniyo contested on the same post in 2021 on an independent ticket after losing the National Resistance Movement (NRM) party primaries to Margaret Nakavubu but Nabukeera stood out victorious.
It is currently not known whether Nabukeera will rest her case or she will opt for standing as an independent candidate.
Romours have been taking rounds that Nabukeera is blaming her loss to Nambooze whom she accuses of ill-talking about her before the party bosses at the headquarters.
According to the communication pinned on the party’s social media platform on Monday evening, the successful candidates have been advised to proceed with taking their nomination forms to the Party Headquarters (Makerere-Kavule) for endorsement.
“NOTE: Apart from a few exceptional cases where no successful candidate has been announced, candidates from all regions are encouraged to bring their forms on Tuesday 14th and Wednesday 15th October, 2025, 8:30am to 4:00pm).”
