Once again, Hilton High School in Nakisunga sub-county in the outskirts of Mukono, have emerged as one of the best performers in last year’s UACE results.
According to the headteacher, Katimbo Gordon, out of the 131 finalists, three collected 20 points each, while all the rest came out with enough points to make them qualify to join any institution of their choice for post-secondary education.
Katimbo said the teachers have been groomed to have a special touch for each individual learner, bringing closer even those with special weaknesses by first appreciating their weaknesses and encouraging them appropriately.

Being a god-centered learning institution, the school holds devotional services everyday with the ultimate objective of invoking God to unleash his kindness, while parents’ sacrifice and commitment to pay school fees has also played its role of ensuring that learners are at school all the time.
“We realized from the beginning that school fees payment is not about being wealthy, but rather a commitment by individual parents, this coupled with team spirit among our learners to consult and hold discussions, have greatly contribute to our perennial star performance”, the headteacher said.

Among the top scorers is Ronah Arinaitwe, who took History, Economics, Divinity and ICT (HED/ICT).
