Elias Luyimbaazi Nalukoola has said that he predicted the outcome of Faridah Nambi’s petition contesting his election as the duly elected Kawempe North MP. Nalukoola added that since he is in Mecca on pilgrimage, he is directly reporting to Allah for Holy intervention.
In his message to constituents, Nalukoola who was based in Mecca, Saudi Arabia, assured them that all is not yet lost. Telling from the expedited nature in which the petition was handled instead of giving it ample time for all witnesses to testify he said, he expected the ruling passed by court.
Nalukoola said he did not expect a better decision by court owing to the speedy nature in which the case was handled, and added that it is good he learns of the situation while still in Mecca and so he is invoking the creator to intervene.
He appealed to voters to remain calm, noting that, with his team of lawyers, they are doing everything possible to retain the victory.
Nalukoola said he is going to dedicate all his time in the holy city praying for the nation to overcome hurdles ahead during the general election time which is due.
