Tension as Handcuffed Suspect Escapes From Mukono Police Custody
The Independent Electoral Commission Uganda is in charge of Kawempe North by-election which is taking place today, Thursday March 13, 2024.
At exactly 5:00am, the dispatch of polling materials kicked off with police officers escorting the polling officer together with the materials.
According to the Electoral Commission, voting will kick off at exactly 7:00am. The battle for the seat is between the National Unity Platform’s Erias Luyimbaazi Nalukoola and National Resistance Movement’s Faridah Nambi.
