The Catholic community in Uganda is mourning following the passing of Rev. Fr. Emmanuel Mukasa, a dedicated priest of the Lugazi Diocese.
At the time of his death, Fr. Mukasa served as Vice Rector of St. Joseph’s Seminary in Nyenga, where he was respected for his commitment to priestly formation and service.
Tributes are pouring in for the late priest, who was known for his devotion to the Church.
Information from Lugazi diocese shows that the body of Rev. Fr. Emmanuel Mukasa, who has been serving a Vice Rector of Nyenga Seminary will tomorrow Tue.03.02.2026 lie in state at Lugazi Cathedral Church with Mass at 10:00am.
Burial will be on Wed.04.02.2026 at Kisubi Seminary with Mass at 11:00am. Fr. Mukasa’s passing has left a void in Lugazi Diocese and the broader Catholic community.
