Sauya Nanyonga has officially submitted her nomination forms to contest for the Masaka City Woman MP seat under the National Unity Platform (NUP).

Sauya Nanyonga, now former Headteacher Masaka Secondary School as she picked the show of interest forms.
The position is currently held by Juliet Kakande, who recently crossed over to the Democratic Front (DF).
Nanyonga is battling for the NUP card with former Buddu county deputy Ppokino, Rose Nalubowa. Nalubowa is a staunch Catholic who was also the chairperson of the board of governors, St. Bernard Mannya Secondary School.
