Former Kawempe South Member of Parliament, Mubarak Munyagwa Sserunga aka Mugaatigwabbata has today been nominated as the 7th presidential candidate.
According to Electoral Commission (EC), Munyagwa, standing on the Common Man’s Party has fully fulfilled the requirements of the Presidential Elections Act, Cap 179.
Munyagwa joins the first nominated presidential candidates that include; Yoweri Kaguta Museveni of the National Resistance Movement (NRM), Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu of the National Unity Platform (NUP), Nathan Nadala Mafabi of the Forum for Democratic Change (FDC).
Others are; Alliance for National Transformation (ANT) leader, Rtd. Gen. Grogory Mugisha Muntu, Eiton Joseph Mabiriizi of conservative Party (CP) and Robert Kasibante, of the National Peasants Party (NPP).
