It is alleged that Nambooze while attending a rally for Mulimamayuuni in Mukono North recently, she attacked Kibuule whom she accused of turning against her despite the fact that she had paid for his tuition, something the latter says is a total lie.

Mukono North parliamentary aspirant and former State Minister for Water, Ronald Kibuule has blasted Mukono Municipality legislator, Betty Nambooze Bakireke as a double-faced person who says one thing and does other with the intention of claiming purity for herself and tarnishing others.

“Nambooze conned the nation of sh3bn when she pretended to be sick and was flown abroad where she spent almost a year visiting friends; this is money that could have got this constituency a first-grade hospital, spent on one unscrupulous person claiming to be a community leader, and yet she continued to go around giving distorted information about others,” Kibuule told voters.

He was on Monday November 10, 2025 addressing Mukono North voters who gathered at Namasumbi UMEA Primary School in Kyampisi sub-county, Mukono North, on day one of his campaign trail ahead of the 2026 general elections, where he is facing off with five other contenders.

Kibuule of the National Resistance Movement (NRM) is contesting with the sitting MP Abdallah Kiwanuka Mulimamayuuni of the National Unity Platform (NUP), People’s Front for Freedom’s (PFF) Moses Lukubira Bakubi, Democratic Party’s (DP) Nsubuga Kenneth Ssebagayunga, and independent candidates Drasi Isaac and Pr. Stephen Ssemusu.

Kibuule’s supporters chanting in his praise as he addressed them on Monday.

He also attacked Nambooze for continually claiming President Museveni has overstayed and should be replaced, saying that with twenty years to her side in parliament, Nambooze should justifiably not be contesting for the next elections, to be seen as a person who walks the talk.

On claims that Nambooze tells people that she one-time paid Kibuulke’s school fees, Kibuule laughed it off, saying that she is known to have been a very poor person herself in need of assistance before joining politicis, with no capacity to pay for his school fees.

It is alleged that Nambooze while attending a rally for Mulimamayuuni in Mukono North recently, she attacked Kibuule whom she accused of turning against her despite the fact that she had paid for his tuition, something the latter says is a total lie.

Without hiding anything, Kibuule told the cheering supporters that it is common knowledge that his education requirements were met by President Museveni from early stages, adding, “I went to school as a rich man’s son, driving in brand new cars, how could a poor Nambooze, herself very needy then, have been able to pay for my school fees?”

Kibuule, who had no kind words for the Municipality legislator, said that because of the wealth she has amassed, she has now built a bungalow not only in Uganda but also in America, although she started off from scratch.

He also attacked her for amassing wealth without bringing anything back to the constituency, asking, “When she was still legislator for Mukono North constituency, what did she bring back by way of community service?”

On her claims that President Museveni should be changed, Kibuule asked them which football team captain shuffles a scoring player for another one.
