It was February 26, 2025 when an angry and frustrated NRM diehard, Benjamin Agaba shocked the nation when out of own conscience decided to pour petrol on himself and later ignited fire.
The security operatives guarding at the Parliament of Uganda’s main gate rushed to put off the fire from Agaba who was already burning in flames.
Agaba who was clad in a yellow pair of trousers was rushed to Kiruddu hospital where he has been admitted getting treatment until when he breathed his last breath today on March 9, 2025.
It was alleged that Agaba was aggrieved by the fact that though him and his entire family members were ardent supporters of the ruling National Resistance Movement, he was rotting with poverty after losing all his property to unidentified alleged members of the National Unity Platform who revenged on him for supporting a party which was terrorizing most of their party supporters.
He alleged that despite calling for the leaders’ intervention both local and national, he had failed to seek their positive attention.
