Sseninde cautioned against party infighting and secret support for opponents from the opposition parties and leaning NRM independent candidates, warning it would harm the party’s election chances.
She also took a swipe at party leaders who develop unending anger with each other, and cautioned that this friction only serves to give the opponent the opportunity to grab voters, and advised them to always find a solution to their anger.
She cautioned that party faithfuls who turn around and secretly shift support to the opponents are treacherous people who should be avoided for the sake of the party’s election victory.

Hajat Faridah Kibowa, chairperson of the National Women Council who is also the team leader for President Museveni’s 2026 election task force for Greater Mukono, noted that although government has put down considerable development projects leading Mukono district to meet requirements for elevation to a city status, the support to the President did not reflect this gain.

Kibuule who is the former State Minister for Water, also noted that with solar powered water supply in place, even the sh100 per 20-litre jerrican is too costly, and gave the hope that with installation of the solar system, water costs will drastically drop to at least sh50 per 20 liters.
