The National Unity Platform president, Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu a.k.a Bobi Wine is to undergo surgery. This follows the incident at Bulindo in Kira Municipality where Kyagulanyi was allegedly shot at by the Police.
The Leader of Opposition in Parliament (LOP), Joel Ssenyonyi in a press briefing this evening has said that the medical officers at St. Francis Nsambya Hospital have recommended surgery for Kyagulanyi so that they can remove the teargas canister fragments that entered his leg.
Ssenyonyi has added that; “The principal is in deep pain though he has been sedated.”
Police on Tuesday refuted claims that Kyagulanyi was shot, instead suggesting he had “stumbled and got injured while getting into his car”.
