Msgr. Kayondo who represented the Lugazi Diocesan bishop, Christopher Kakooza advised the youngsters to develop the culture of speaking less and listening more, and to be at peace with everybody to avoid compromising the value of what comes out of them.

Vicar General of the Catholic Diocese of Lugazi Rev. Msgr. Dr. Richard Kayondo has executed confirmation sacrament for 150 students of Mukono and Namiryango campuses of Our Lady of Africa SS in a holy mass organized to mark this year’s school day celebrations at the Mukono campus at Ddandira, in Mukono Central Division, Mukono Municipality.

In his homily, Msgr. Kayondo urged the freshly confirmed students to always reflect on values that help them identify as members of a family with the goal of exhibiting the good attributes for which they are known.
He was sad to note that today, people’s love is attracted by material wealth, and advised that this is not true love because it is not rooted in one’s heart but is rather affected by riches.

Msgr. Kayondo who represented the Lugazi Diocesan bishop, Christopher Kakooza advised the youngsters to develop the culture of speaking less and listening more, and to be at peace with everybody to avoid compromising the value of what comes out of them.

“Strive to turn your hearts into good soil on which the sower’s seed will grow and thrive, have hearts of flesh not stones, hearts that can be adapted to acceptable, humble and respectful ways of life”, he advised.
In his speech, the head teacher Paul Kasumba implored the Vicar General to use his office and embark on a programme of sensitizing teachers about the importance of consummating matrimonial sacrament so as to be responsible teachers with unquestionable character in society.

He disclosed that being a multi religious institution, the school is organizing an Anglican faith confirmation activity next term.
The school Director, Vincent Bintubizibu Matovu attributed the school’s admirable achievements to the spiritual and physical acceptance by the diocese, which he said has greatly facilitated the school’s forward movement.

Matovu who also serves as the Kyaggwe County head (Ssekiboobo) also appreciated the diocese for giving Our Lady of Africa Schools space to actively participate in activities at this year’s Martyrs Day celebrations at Namugongo last month.
