The police in Mukono are holding one suspect out of the over 10 pang-wielding thugs who had staged a night operation on the Kampala-Jinja Highway in Mukono on Monday.
According to police, on the night of October25, 2025 at 10:30pm, a report was received about a group of organized criminals ambushing and robbing people along the Jinja-Kampala highway in Kiwanga Zone, Goma Division, Mukono Municipality.
“The suspects were reportedly armed with pangas, instilling fear among travellers.”
“In response, the Namanve Police deployed officers to confront the criminals. They found over ten suspects hiding along the roadside. When the suspects attempted to escape, police, assisted by community members, pursued them.

Angolo Abdul is in police custody. His file is being processed. We shall be advised by ODPP on the appropriate charge.”
