Police Officer Recorded on Camera While Sexually Assaulting University Student Remanded
A section of the Busega–Mityana highway has collapsed at kilometre 12 in Buyala, causing significant disruption to traffic flow along one of Uganda’s key transport corridors.
According to a statement from the Ministry of Works and Transport, the structural failure was triggered by persistent heavy rainfall that has weakened the road infrastructure in the area.
Engineers have been dispatched to assess the extent of the damage and provide temporary traffic management solutions as repair plans are drawn up. Road users have been advised to exercise caution and consider alternative routes where possible.
