The Police in Kampala are hunting for one of its own, a police officer who fatally shot and wounded a driver.
The police in a statement issued on Monday December 23, 2024 identified the suspect as No. 55915 PC Bahati Charles, and the victim as Ssemwaka Julius, a driver of vehicle registration number UAX 460C.

The incident is said to have occurred along Sezibwa road in Kampala City.
It is alleged that PC Bahati fled the scene with his weapon and that he is currently on the run.
“A search operation is underway to locate him. We have commenced investigations into the matter and will share details later,” the police statement read.
