According to National Unity Platform (NUP) Secretary General, David Lewis Rubongoya police ordered Nina Rose to go back to Kampala or risk to be arrested.

Local musician, Nina Rose, has today been blocked by Police from addressing a gathering of local people invited at her father’s home in Sembabule district.
Nina Rose whose original name is Nina Kankunda has started getting political persecution after making her political ambition of vying for Sembabule district Woman Member of Parliament public.
According to National Unity Platform (NUP) Secretary General, David Lewis Rubongoya police ordered Nina Rose to go back to Kampala or risk to be arrested.

“Police also dispersed the locals who had gathered at the home of Nina Rose’s father to welcome her and listen to her message.
It is further said that police escorted Nina Rose out of Sembabule district, something members of NUP leadership has deemed unjust and out of order.
Rubongoya’s message he posted on social media on Friday reads as follows;
“Police in Sembabule have blocked our comrade Nina Roz from addressing the people she had invited at her father’s home. They ordered her to return to Kampala and threatened to arrest her if she stayed. They’re escorting her out of the district with police vans. Simply because of her association with the National Unity Platform. A regime in panic! While our comrades and leaders are being hounded everywhere, politicians associated with the criminal regime are moving around doing their activities even when many are being chased away by the people!

Sebambule district which has been NRM’s strong hold is currently under Mary Begumisa, who is getting Nina Rose’s heat which is presumed to be behind the police’s misbehavior.
