The National coordinator for the Family Apostolate of the Uganda Episcopal Conference, Florence Kevin Kwesigabo observed that although their fraternity is predominantly a female entity, they have plans of bringing male involvement on board, so that a programme is set for men, women and children in families to work together in family development issues.

She lamented that mankind has grossly abused the ten commandments of God which she noted, has bred poor performance of economic, social and other forms of development in homes and the country at large.
“You just can’t imagine, God just gave us only ten commandments which are summarized in ten sentences but us, mankind has failed to abide by them!” she noted.
On women in politics, Kwesigabo noted that the matter has been blown out of contest with many families facing total breakdown, adding that much as it is agreeable that they remain active players, women should resist temptations of being unruly and insubordinate to their husbands.

She noted that it is essential that women are involved in all aspects of development, governance and peace, so that they remain motherly to the dot. “When Jesus was being tortured by his crucifiers, His mother was around. Therefore, mothers should not give any reason for abandoning children’s upbringing responsibilities.”
Kwesigabo said women do not get into mischief for joining politics because she noted, they go to politics to represent fellow women’s interests and that it is only unfortunate that they go astray.
