Prominent Kampala Pentecostal Pastor Charged, Remanded Over Defrauding Fellow Pastors

The State House Anti-Corruption Unit in conjunction with the Crime Investigations Department and the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions have today arraigned a Pentecostal pastor before the Mbale Chief Magistrates Court on charges of defrauding fellow pastors.

Court has identified the suspect as Pr. Siribaleka Aaron who refers to himself as a Bishop, of a Pentecostal Church in Kampala, also a Chief Director of the Youth Vulnerable Children and Orphans Alliance Africa.

Pr. Siribaleka has been charged with Obtaining Money by False Pretense at Mbale Chief Magistrates Court.

It is alleged that the accused between the years of 2018 and 2019 in the Bugisu region with an intent to defraud, used his organization and obtained over sh390m from pastors, parents and prospective businessmen.

The victims paid the money through Child Development Centres (CDCs) with promises of education grants, scholarships, jobs after training and capital for their business among other activities which never materialised.

 Pr. Siribaleka has been remanded until September 09, 2024.
