At the tender age of 15, Saudi Prince Al-Waleed bin Khaled bin Talal Saud was involved in an accident that affected his brain while undergoing military training in the UK in 2005. Since then, he has been in an intensive care unit, on life support machines.
His father Khalid bin Talal Al Saud transferred him to King Abdulaziz Medical City Hospital in Riyadh. He contracted experts from all over the world who have been undertaking the prince’s treatment up to the time of his death.

In 2015, the patient raised his father’s hopes when he (deceased) tried to lift his arm to hold the hand of a caretaker. A video recording shows this unidentified woman asking the patient to raise his hand, which he did, further raising hope of full recovery.
However, ten years since then, hope among members of the Royal family dwindled further as he has never shown any other signs of recovery, till his father finally agreed to have life support gadgets disconnected from him.
Born on April 18th 1990, Al-Waled, the eldest child of his parents. His father decided to take him to the UK for military training in preparation for him to be more active and skilled in the duty of taking responsibility for the welfare of princes in the royal family.
But immediately on arrival in the UK he was involved in the accident that badly damaged his brain, rendering bed-ridden and in coma for 20 years till he succumbed.
Medical experts have been caring for him day and night for twenty years, and untold amounts of money was spent on his treatment to no avail.
