St. Balikuddembe Senior School Kisoga has maintained its strong academic tradition after posting impressive results in the 2025 Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education (UACE) examinations.

The school headteacher, Lydia Lukwago Kagoya, revealed that all the 353 candidates who sat the exams last year qualified to proceed to the next level of education.

“Out of the 353 candidates, seven students scored the maximum 20 points, 15 obtained 19 points, 10 secured 18 points, while another 15 attained 17 points,” Kagoya said.

She attributed the good performance to improvements in the school’s learning environment and the adoption of modern teaching methods aligned with the Competency-Based Curriculum.

“We have improved the learning environment by ensuring that students access all the materials required under the Competency-Based Curriculum. Our teachers have also been streamlined and equipped to handle the changes in the curriculum,” she explained.

Kagoya added that the school performs well in both Arts and Science subjects, supported by modern facilities such as e-classrooms equipped with smartboards.

“We are equally strong in Arts and Sciences. We have all it takes for a learner to succeed,” she noted.
