Fear has gripped the school community of Daystar Junior School in Lusaka-Kirombe, Makindye Division in Kampala district as two of their pupils perished in a road crash which left more than 11 other pupils and two teachers critically injured.
The injured pupils and teachers were rushed to different health facilities including Zigoti Medical Center and Mityana hospital in critical conditions.

According to police, the bus, registration number UAP 829U Isuzu, which was heading from Kasese to Kampala where the school had an education tour got into an accident at around 5:30am.
Police have identified the deceased as Kakembo Ronah (11) and Nabasumba Pamela (11), their bodies were taken to Mityana Hospital Mortuary for postmortem examination.
It is suspected that the driver of the bus who is currently on the run fell asleep, leading to the accident.
Police have started the search for the driver as the investigations on the possible cause of the accident have also started.
