Celebrated singer Joseph Mayanja alias ‘Jose Chameleon’ has disclosed that he has finally officially separated with the mother of his children, Daniella Atim currently based in the US, and said either of them is now free to hook another lover.
He intimated that they have been living in separation for the last ten years, seemingly following in the requirement of the Catholic Canon Law specifying that a couple should continue staying together for ten years after ending their affair, as a means of creating room for a possible reconciliation to terminate the divorce process.

Asked whether he does not feel the pinch when his former wife gets hooked to another man, he said that naturally, he feels it but that under the circumstances, he cannot do anything because this is the course matters are taking.
He added that he sincerely loved Daniella and that she occupied second position in his heart after Prossy Mayanja (his mother). “I am partly to blame for our separation but it is natural and human,” he said.
Chameleone says some of his woes are rooted in the fact that he became a father at a tender age, and a celebrity at only 19 years, and that as such, he has been moving a lot; but this notwithstanding he adds, he has gone to great lengths to protect his marriage and family.
“I am a responsible father; I should have married long ago but I did not, remember I had Dorotia who lives in Belgium but I discarded her because I had got Daniella. I love her as the mother of my children and she is currently the one living with them and that is a major point,” he said.
Chameleone says he is ready to sing at Daniella’s second wedding should she get a replacement.
