“The scripts have now been passed on to UNEB for marking,” Kalule said, reassuring parents and candidates that the scripts would be marked expeditiously and the candidates graded in time for selection and placement exercise.

It was a sigh of relief for 34 candidates of Bamure Primary School in Koboko district when the Uganda National Examinations Board (UNEB) announced that their missing Primary Leaving Examination (PLE) scripts for Integrated Science had been found locked in the headmaster’s office.

The scripts had gone missing, and the candidates were awarded an ‘X’ grade as a result. However, after a thorough investigation, the sealed script envelope was discovered intact in the UNEB materials box in the headmaster’s office.

UNEB spokesperson, Jennifer Kalule, said the envelope was handed over to Koboko Central Police Station, where it was confirmed to be untampered with, and then passed on to UNEB for marking.

“The scripts have now been passed on to UNEB for marking,” Kalule said, reassuring parents and candidates that the scripts would be marked expeditiously and the candidates graded in time for selection and placement exercise.
