Last year’s Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education (UACE) results are to be released by the Uganda National Examinations Board (UNEB) on Friday this week, sources have revealed.
According to sources, a total of 142,009 candidates registered to write the examinations, 61,968 of them girls and 80,041 boys, and they wrote the examinations in 2,634 centres.
Marking of the examinations has been finalised and the UNEB’s governing council chairman Prof. Celestine Obua and the Secretary Dan N. Odongo are destined to make an official report to the Minister of Education and Sports Janet K. Museveni.

Thereafter, the board will give guidance on modalities for releasing the results but, all things remaining normal, the results are to be released on Friday at 11.00am at Nakasero State House.

35,661 government sponsored students, reflecting 25.1 per cent, were supported under the Universal Post Level Education (UPOLET) programme and those on private sponsorship were 106,348.
