Waiswa Mufumbiro, Sauda Madaada Charged, Remanded Over Military Drilling

The Kawempe Chief Magistrates Court has remanded NUP’s Deputy Spokesperson Alex Waiswa Mufumbiro and Sauda Madaada to Luzira Prison until September 29 2025.

The two are charged with unlawful drilling, conspiracy to commit a felony, and other related offences.

The duo together with other NUP supporters are facing charges of military drilling/ parade that was conducted at NUP Headquarters in Kavule on February 12, 2025.

On Monday, other NUP supporters; Tasi Calvin aka Bobi Giant, Sserunkuuma Edwin aka Eddie King Kabenja, Lukenge Sharif, Nyanzi Yasin and Kaweesi Tonny were also charged with similar charges and remanded to Luzira Prison.

They join Edward Sebuufu aka Eddie Mutwe and Achileo Kivumbi who were earlier charged with the same offences and remanded to Luzira.
