Facts surrounding the brawl in which Sandra Teta knocked down her husband Weasel (Douglas Mayanja) and broke his right leg have started vividly coming out, and the latest is that earlier in the day, the husband had thrown out her property and given her sh30,000 for her transport to vacate his house.
Sandra was jailed at Kabalagala after storming Shanz Bar where her husband was drinking with friends, knocking him down leading to a fracture in his right leg. Weasel was rushed to a nearby health centre and later taken to St. Francis Nsambya Hospital where it was declared that he needed surgery in the broken leg.

The domestic unrest between the two is not a rare occurrence and recently, Sandra was picked by her relatives who took her to Rwanda to rest after her husband had thoroughly beaten her, giving her a swollen and bruised face.
After recuperating, she returned to her children’s father’s home and the saga began afresh; it was under such unrest that she knocked her husband down and broke her leg.
Although Weasel prayed to police to release his wife so that she can go back home and look after their two children, the Assistant police spokesperson for Kampala Metropolitan, Luke Owoyesigyire said criminal charges have been slapped on Teta under Kabalagala police file No. SD: 04/07/08/2025, and that consultations are underway with the DPP to establish whether she will be charged or not.
At Kabalagala police station, relatives of both warring parties met and agreed that she would be released. Sandra’s relatives argued that their relative’s body was all covered with bruises inflicted upon her by Weasel under such circumstances, adding that she has been accommodating all the torture to avoid embarrassing her husband and their children.
After making a statement, Sandra was released on police bond as prayed by relatives of both sides, but the vehicle she used to knock down her husband, a Mercedes Benz registration number UBH 178Y, remains parked at Kabalagala police station.
