A Senior Superintendent of Police, Clive Nsiima was on Friday October 10, 2025 dismissed from the Uganda Police Force.

Nsiima is said to have appeared in the police disciplinary court on Tuesday, 7th October 2025, and Friday, 10th October 2025, where he was charged with behaving in a scandalous manner, leading to his dismissal.

CCTV footage recorded on October 7th 2025 at Shell Kyanja in Kampala, showed ASP Clive Nsiima Barigye (34), attached to the Anti-Terrorism Squad slapping supermarket attendant Pellan Atumuhiriize several times, causing her bodily harm and in the process destroying her mobile phone Infinix Hot 10.

On Monday, City Hall magistrate Nicholas Aisu read the charges to Nsiima who denied he committed the offence, and court remanded him to Luzira after prosecution declined his application for bail.

Prosecutor Yamangusho Mercy Khaidara said investigations are underway and asked for extra time to complete the same.

While applying for his client’s bail, lawyer Hamza Kyamanywa produced relatives including Cynthia Nkwanzi, Daniel Mushabe and Mark Igumira.

The senior police officer is said to have committed the offence when the victim demanded payment for items he had ordered for including condoms and other articles, upon which he lost his calm and angrily started demanding the girl if she thought he would disappear with their money.

Sources add that although Nsiima was a regular customer known to other attendants, Atumuhiriize had just been recruited as an attendant and did not know him, which led her to insist on being paid immediately.
