The second day for the Kawempe North by-election campaign rounds for the National Unity Platform (NUP) parliamentary candidate, Erias Luyimbaazi Nalukoola, turned bitter for Mukono North MP, Abdallah Kiwanuka Mulimamayuuni, when he was confronted by armed men travelling in the notorious Drone minibus, bundled inside and driven away.
Kiwanuka who was travelling with his other NUP colleagues from Nalukoola’s Komamboga rally is suspected to have been picked up by men who earlier made attempts at sabotaging the candidate’s motor vehicle mobilisation by supporters chanting in support of their candidates.

The MP is said to have finally been dumped at Kawempe Police Station. According to fellow MP, Muwada Nkunyingi of Kyaddondo East constituency who followed the movement and finally traced Mulimamayuuni, he was made to strip, remove the red beret and an overall, and left almost stark naked, with only his under garments on.
He was made to call his relatives to bring him what his captors called decent clothing, and he regained his freedom in a completely different attire from the one he had started off the day with.
Colleagues who talked to the MP this morning confirmed the story, and added that he was recuperating from the embarrassment he had been subjected to by the ordeal.
