The Police are looking for thugs who violently broke into the rented residence of a Nigerian second year law student of the Western Campus of the Kampala International University (KIU), gang raped her and later made off with her Samsung A16 mobile phone.
According to Greater Bushenyi Regional Police Spokesperson, SP Apollo Tayebwa, the unidentified burglars broke into the student’s room (names withheld) at around 4:20 am and armed with a knife, gang raped her before stealing her mobile phone.

The victim was later taken to Bushenyi Police Health Centre II, where she received post-exposure prophylaxis (PEP), the Greater Bushenyi Regional Police confirmed.
Tayebwa said they have launched investigations into the case and are working to identify and arrest the suspects.
“We appeal to the general public to covertly volunteer any information that may assist in the ongoing investigation so that justice can be served,” SP Tayebwa said.
