Goma council speaker, Tony Bwanika said that similarity of the death of the two threw a frenzy of scare among councilors and that as council, they are doing all within their reach to establish what could have led to Nakamanya’s death.
Bwanika said that a report from Mulago doctors who conducted the post mortem examination on her body indicated that she developed an internal bleeding after her pregnancy moved the wrong way of the uterus, leading to rupture of uterus walls.
By the time of her death, she had just been given the party card to stand as the division representative at the district.
A third councillor who died in similar circumstances is the late Reginah Ndagire who was the Mukono Municipality representative. She was discovered after three days after unknown people killed and locked her inside her house.
