Mukalazi, the village chairperson has however confirmed that this land was sold out to Lumunya by Nakato’s husband, the late Musisi Koona before his death, very many years ago.

A 40-year-old widow of Nakafumu village, Busiika Town Council in Luweero district has pinned the village chairperson, Samuel Mukalazi for conniving with a land grabber and allegedly demolishing her house under construction and her twins’ graves, in addition to uprooting banana plantation on the land bequeathed to her by her late husband.

Nakato Cate is also complaining against Samuel Lumunya whom she is claiming to be a land grabber, who she said contracted bouncers to do the destruction work.

She informed our reporter that this land used to belong to her mother in-law Esther Nabaggala who bequeathed the land to her son, Nakato’s husband, the late Musisi Koona who was also buried on this land.

She further said that Lumunya is issuing her and the family with eviction orders claiming the land measuring one acre belongs to him after buying it from Nakato’s late husband Musisi Koona which she asserts that it is a total lie.

“It’s just unfortunate that Nakato knows the truth but she is fraudulently trying to grab the land from Lumunya claiming it belonged to her husband, yet he had sold it out before his death.

When contacted for a comment, Lumunya said he bought this land 15 years ago and that he has all the required documentation confirming his true ownership of this land.
