Rosefoam Mattress Company Donates 30 Bags of Cement Towards Mukono Cathedral Construction Works

Following in the footsteps of their traditional customer care culture, Royikems Industries Limited, the manufacturers of Rosefoam mattresses, on Sunday resolved to conduct a corporate social responsibility gesture by contributing 30 cement bags in cash, towards the construction of the new Sts. Philip and Andrew’s Cathedral Mukono.

The Marketing Department team headed by Jordan Ssemanda delivered the donation to Mukono and handed it over to the Cathedral Provost, Rev. Can. Godfrey Ssengendo during the church service.

 

Handing over the donation, Ssemanda said the company felt duty bound to contribute to construction of the church because he said, congregation members constitute part of their clientele to whom they are obliged to support in a number of ways.

He said they are also intensifying the gospel of sensitizing Ugandans on the danger of sleeping on poor quality mattresses that develop back pain causing depression, thus endangering their life and ability to work when they get physically weakened.

While blessing the team, Provost Ssengendo thanked Rosefoam company for deciding to be part of the construction work of God’s house, adding that He is going to use them more intensively in the endeavor to keep His creation healthy and able to serve Him.

He invoked God to shower Rosefoam company workers with blessings and to continue watching over them with their dependents for longer life and the ability to fulfil His (God’s) will.

In a heart touching sermon, the Vice Chairman of the Christian Men’s Fellowship (CMF) Evangelist Peter Baraka implored youths in the church to take advantage of their energetic state as young people to engage in some form of ministry, which he said will tickle God to shower them with more blessings.

In a word of advice to community leaders, Baraka urged them to humble themselves before God by fulfilling their duties with due regard to pleasing God, to avoid rejection that was undergone by the biblical King Ahab to the extent of being dubbed the most unfaithful leader.

The evangelist cautioned that nations are destined to become desolate like did Judea in the times of King Ahab who neglected fixing worship and service to God ahead of service for his personal interest, which he noted, runs counter to the duty of restoration of humankind to God.
