He also stated that the patience of Amb. Dorothy Hyuha, and Emmanuel Dombo, respectively, caused them to get bigger assignments by the President, and challenged the NRM leaning independent candidates to withdraw from the race.

The senior manager in charge of communications for the National Resistance Movement (NRM) party secretariat, Rogers Mulindwa, has asked the people of Butaleja district to overwhelmingly support the NRM flag bearers in the forthcoming general elections.
Mulindwa said that Butaleja has for years been supporting NRM, urging the locals to keep up with the same spirit also in the forthcoming elections.
He made the remarks in Nawanjofu sub-county, on Tuesday while meeting NRM party flag bearers and supporters in the district.
“Butaleja district is in good records at the NRM secretariat as far as supporting NRM is concerned. There is therefore no reason for voting otherwise this time round,” Mulindwa said.

He emphasised that it was pretty meaningful for the President to introduce candidates: Elvis Weere for LCV chair, Sarah Annet Logose for Woman MP, James Waluswaka for Bunyole West MP, and Moses Musamba Nagwomu for MP Bunyole East; as his cadres, worth supporting in the next general elections.
Mulindwa, said that it’s unusual for anyone to be called into the president’s podium, publicly, and argued that his option on the day he held campaigns at Butaleja district Booma Ground, manifested his trust into those NRM flag bearers.
He also stated that the patience of Amb. Dorothy Hyuha, and Emmanuel Dombo, respectively, caused them to get bigger assignments by the President, and challenged the NRM leaning independent candidates to withdraw from the race.
Moses Pabire, the district NRM chairperson, called for unity in the party, and promised transparency in his leadership.
Jacob Wangolo, one of the party mobilisers in Bukedi sub-region, decried that a total of 2,668 votes were spoilt in the 2021 general elections, and expressed the worries for similar cases due to limited civic education.
He also revealed that the Speaker of Parliament, Annet Anita Among, pledged to reward the best parishes for candidate Museveni’s support, with sh100m each, if the Presidential candidate scores 100%, of the votes from each of those parishes.
Elvis Weere, who received a heroic welcome from the citizens in Nawanjofu sub-county, stated that he shall serve the Bataleja, in the sweat of Joseph Muyonjo, (LCV flag bearer who died shortly after the nomination). He promised to work hand in hand with team Muyonjo, and further disclosed that he employed Muyonjo’s driver- Polyson Weere, as his official driver, a gesture for unity.

James Waluswaka, flag bearer for Bunyole West, promised to construct a bridge at Hisiiro, to connect Butaleja to Kibuku district. He also promised to cause a split of Bugalo parish into two, because of its large size.
Meanwhile, Sarah Annet Logose, NRM flag bearer for Woman MP, refuted the propaganda that circulated, alleging that she celebrated her NRM party flag victory in Kyenjojjo district, her place of marriage.
She instead vowed to source more goodies for Butaleja district if she is entrusted with the votes into the office she is vying for.
